In the depths of the Eurasian steppe, a civilization that flourished between 2100-1800 BCE: Sintashta. With its copper mining, bronze metallurgy, and the oldest known war chariots, this ancient civilization holds a unique place among steppe cultures, shedding light on the earliest periods of Turkic history.

In this important work, Ali Güler unravels the mysteries of the Sintashta Culture, discovered in the steppes east of the Ural Mountains and only on the scientific agenda for half a century. Blending archaeological findings with historical methodology, the author reveals the connections of this culture—which Western researchers associate with the Proto-Indo-Iranian tradition—with the ancient history of the Turks.

This book provides groundbreaking information about the roots of Turkish history extending back to the Bronze Age, much earlier than periods documented by written sources. "The Sintashta Culture: A Survey on the Earliest Turks," one of the rare works attempting to illuminate the early periods of Turkic civilization before the Göktürks and Huns, stands out with its intriguing style.

Analyzing the architectural features of Sintashta settlements, funeral rituals, material culture elements, and genetic data to trace the footprints of Turkic civilization in ancient times, this work is poised to fill a major gap on the historical stage.
